Sarah Di Battista
I’m a singer/songwriter from the UK. I grew up on the outskirts of a small countryside village on the south coast and now reside in the US.
I first picked up the guitar around the age of 12 and was taught how to play by my Dad. I had a lot influence from his live performances, and eventually started to play a few songs at gigs with him; I then took an interest in writing my own songs.
I’ve always enjoyed listening to various soft rock artists and watching my Dad play songs by Santana, Dire Straits, Chris Rea and The Eagles. I’ve been inspired by artists like KT Tunstall, bringing the acoustic folk-rock type of vibe which I try to incorporate into my songs.

Ruminating Mind
My latest release was my debut EP “Ruminating Mind”, titled from songs with a shared theme of reflecting back on the past; often replaying certain memories and reliving all of those feelings. “Over and Over” is a song influenced by some of the dark thoughts and internal battles I’ve experienced throughout different stages of my life. I wanted my Dad to be part of my EP so he laid down a guitar solo for “Troubles” which gives a dreamy and pensive vibe and an almost bluesy type of feel. Then there’s “Time Machine”, a song inspired by certain life events triggering my desire to go back in time to say and do things differently, and perhaps be able to get some underlying questions answered - this one doubles up on the EP with a stripped-down acoustic version.
